Crafts
Occasionally we release craft videos matching our story time program. These crafts can be done as a stand-alone activity!
Let's Make a Jellyfish!As a bonus this week, Ms. Kathryn made a jellyfish craft to go along with our books about fish. Follow along and share what your jellyfish look like! Please note, if you or your child do not enjoy the feeling of glue on your fingers, you can use a paintbrush or other style of object to press the tissue paper onto the bowl.

Mermaid Slime Craft – July 3, 2020This morning we're going to make Mermaid Slime! If you do not like the feeling of slimy or sticky things on your hands, this project is not for you. Things you need:6 oz of Elmer's Glue1/2 Teaspoon baking soda1 and 1/2 tablespoons of contact (saline) solutionA bowlA spoon or spatulaPaper towelsHow to make:1. Squeeze all the glue into your bowl. Shake the bottle and make sure you get as much as possible out.2. Add your 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix thoroughly.3. Slowly add in 1 & 1/2 tablespoons of contact (saline) solution. Mix with spatula or spoon as much as you can.4. Knead your slime to incorporate everything.5. Have fun!To store: Place in a zip-lock bag and press as much air out of the bag as possible. To refresh slime: Add a small amount of water or lotion to the slime to soften.
