Chester County Library Needs Your Help

  Who are the Friends? – Library users and supporters are the heart of the Friends, focusing public attention on the Library and supporting its Services and programs. Volunteers coordinate and conduct special projects such as: book sales, fund raising projects and other Friends’ events.

Are there Friends benefits? – Yes! Friends receive discounts on buying books, program notices and an invitation of the Book Sale “Preview Night”.

What becomes of funds raised by Friends? – Membership dues and money from special projects are used to: 1) fund Library programs for adults and children. 2) purchase needed items to improve service in our Library system. 

How are the Friends governed? – A7 – member executive board of directors, elected by the members, directs the Friends’ activities. Directors representing the Library’s service area in Chester County are elected to a one year term. The Library Director represents the Library’s interest at board meetings.

How do I become a Friend? – Fill out attached membership form. Return it along with your dues to any Chester County Library (locations are listed below).
