Author Ron Rash to be at the Chester Main Library Tuesday, July 18th at 1:00pm

Ron Rash will be reading from his book of poetry, Eureka Mill,  based on his grandparents stories of mill life in Chester, South Carolina.

RON RASH is the author of the 2009 PEN/Faulkner Finalist and New York
Times bestselling novel Serena, in addition to five other novels,
including One Foot in EdenSaints at the RiverThe World Made Straight,
and Above the Waterfall; five collections of poems; and six collections of
stories, among them Burning Bright, which won the 2010 Frank O’Connor
International Short Story Award, Chemistry and Other Stories, which was a
finalist for the 2007 PEN/Faulkner Award, and most recently, Something
Rich and Strange. Twice the recipient of the O. Henry Prize, he teaches at
Western Carolina University.

The Way We Worked is a Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit at the Chester City Hall celebrating the way life was in Chester, South Carolina.

The Jolly Lollies will be bringing their music to Great Falls and Lewisville.  Come sing and dance with us!

The Jolly Lollies show is typically 45 minutes (maybe a little over) and is geared toward young families.  Families that have children ages 0 to 7.

The interactive show includes our imaginative songs and gets children and their families up  and moving around.

Chester County Memorial Day Holiday and Chester Main Summer Schedule

The Chester County Library system will be closed on Saturday May 27th & Monday May 29th for the Memorial Day Weekend.

All locations will also close at noon (12:00pm) on Wednesday, May 31st for employee services.

The Chester County MAIN BRANCH only will have new Summer hours beginning on June 5th. They are as follows:

Monday: 9:30AM – 4:00PM

Tuesday: 9:30AM – 7:00PM

Wednesday: 9:30AM – 7:00PM

Thursday: 9:30AM – 7:00PM

Friday: 9:00AM – 3:00PM
